VARDELI STRING QUARTET
The Vardeli String Quartet is regarded as one of the most dynamic and compelling ensembles of its generation. Founded in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2016, the quartet quickly gained recognition for its passionate performances, refined interpretations, and distinctive artistic voice.
Guided originally by Georgian violinist Konstantine Vardeli, the ensemble has performed throughout Europe and the Caucasus, earning acclaim at both international and national competitions.

Tsinandali Festival, Night Serenades, Salkhino Festival.
Repertoire & Projects
Their repertoire ranges from Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert to Shostakovich, Tsintsadze, and contemporary Georgian composers.
Within the project “Mi Raculum”, the quartet performed and recorded Tsintsadze’s miniatures in traditional Georgian attire.
In 2022, the ensemble premiered the large-scale project “Orero” with the Lithuanian Philharmonic Orchestra, later presenting it at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire Grand Hall.
In 2023, the quartet toured Tallinn and Vilnius, and premiered Mindaugas Stumras’ Spell with Georgian folklore ensemble.
In 2024, the quartet’s first violinist performed as concertmaster at the European Ceremony of Honour for Jacques Delors in Brussels, attended by Ursula von der Leyen.
Each member of the ensemble is an active soloist and chamber musician, collaborating with orchestras such as the Nordic Symphony Orchestra, Baltic Sea Philharmonic and the Erasmus Orchestra.
On October 25, Konstantine Gotsiridze and the Vardeli Quartet (Giorgi Nadareishvili, Ekaterine Gardavadze) participated in the Zurich Music Festival, performing in a concert celebrating the 90th anniversary of Gia Kancheli’s birth. They performed his Piano Quartet alongside Maestro Nikolos Rachveli.
The ensemble will perform as a quartet at the Voice of Music in the Upper Galilee Festival on December 10–11, 2025 (Israel). Their program will include Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8, Bardanashvili’s Elegie, works by Tsintsadze and more. The performance features Ekaterine Gardavadze on viola, Giorgi Nadareishvili on cello and Marina Getia on violin.
